Rift Valley Academy (RVA) is a Christian boarding school in central Kenya with over a hundred years of rich history. The school serves about 500 missionary children (K-12), representing 30 nationalities and 80 mission organizations and churches. As part of the RVA team you’ll be privileged to invest yourself in the lives of students while supporting the broader mission efforts of making Christ known among Africa’s remaining unreached peoples. Ministry opportunities include teachers, dorm-parents, administrators, and other support staff. Staff members should demonstrate a willing and steadfast commitment to the spiritual, social, physical, and emotional well-being of RVA’s students. A dorm parent cares for the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of students. The main responsibility is to foster a nurturing, loving, and safe home that supports the growth of RVA students in all areas. Major tasks- 1. Surrogate parents for dorm girls. Includes providing a loving, disciplined, safe atmosphere in the dorm. 2. Communicate frequently with parents to keep them informed. 3. Part time work during the day - tasks given based on your specific skills.

Be a part of a one-year Inbound Team in eastern DRC (Congo). Team members will be inserted into one of three ministry teams, according to their passions, abilities, and giftings. These teams will work in partnership with local church ministries engaged in: -equipping church leaders for ministry (theological education, professional capacity building, chaplaincy, arts ministry, etc) -equipping children/youth/young adults leaders for ministry -equipping national missionaries and evangelists for ministry and supporting indigenous missions efforts Day to day, team members will have opportunities to engage in discipling believers and church leaders, making a an impact on church growth and the communication of the Gospel in the region. *Some French language abilities are required for this team. Inbound is a one-year, team-based training and mentoring program designed to equip new missionaries with practical skills and knowledge for long-term cross-cultural life and ministry among unreached people groups. Led by an experienced missionary, Inbound prepares new full-term missionaries for service as well as providing a one-year missions exposure for short-termers interested in considering full-term work.

Based in the Chadian city of N'Djamena, you'll serve through Wellspring Academy, a school established by Africa Inland Mission to provide a quality education option for missionary families working to reach the unreached peoples of Chad. You'll teach in a multi-grade classroom (grades 1-3, grades 4-6) of about 6-8 students per classroom. We're looking for someone with a heart for missions, Bachelors degree in education, and teaching experience. French is recommended, especially for long-term personnel, but we are willing to take a short termer without French.

Teach at an established community center in Chad. Tasks include: Teaching English, visiting and engaging students outside of the classroom, participating in Ministry team days and activities. One of the unique aspects of this role is that the center uses the scriptures to teach English - thus the teacher is able to teach the Bible while teaching English. There are discipling opportunities outside of classroom with students, as well as opportunities to engage in discipling within the local church.

Serving in a North African nation, you'll work in a well-established Christian school currently teaching in Arabic, but seeking to transition some of its teaching to English. We are looking for English teachers to support this transition. Depending on the type of candidate and level of experience, this role would look different. Some candidates may take on a teaching role, working alongside local staff to deliver the curriculum. More experienced candidates could be involved in supervision and training. You'll work closely with local teachers to improve the overall standard of education at the school, and where appropriate, provide supervision, training and continuous professional development for English teachers at the school. Required: 2 years working as a qualified teacher Desired: 5+ years working as a qualified teacher; experience working in a management role (eg. Subject lead, head of grade etc..), experience in leading training and professional development. We're looking for men and women with these characteristics: spiritual maturity, patience, self-motivated, team players; people willing to invest in the life of the school and the children who attend, build close relationships with staff and the children, and seek to improve the level of education at the school.

Farming Quest is an opportunity to learn about Farming God's Way and how agriculture can be incorporated into mission, discipleship & church planting. This team is open to missionaries from around the world and will be based in Mephutsang, Lesotho. Major Tasks Practical & classroom teaching based around the principles of Farming God's Way and Conservation Agriculture. How to teach others about Transformational Development. Teaching through agricultural extension & resident student programs. How to train & equip those in your community & beyond. How to use farming as a platform to establish Church Planting. How Discovery Bible studies can be used as discipleship and church planting tools. Runs for 4-6 weeks in Feb-Mar

For recent college graduates with a strong passion for making Christ's name known among the nations, this opportunity is unique. Learn how to integrate faith and life in the real world by participating in a fellows program. Take theology classes while interning with a local non-profit that teaches English to immigrants in the Washington, DC area. This is a partnership between Borderless and Falls Church Fellows. This program equips college graduates to live seamless lives of faith in vocation, community, discipleship, and service for the sake of others and the glory of God. Borderless is a ministry initiative of Africa Inland Mission. Borderless works with local churches in cross-cultural mission, reaching African immigrants and refugees who are building new lives in our communities. Dates: July/August 2024- July/August 2025 Winter Application deadline: March 15, 2024. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis afterwards. Come 1-2 months prior to the start of the fellows program for AIM-specific training, and stay 1-2 months after to apply your knowledge. This internship is paid. Some fundraising is required.

As part of AIM's work among the Gabbra people of Northern Kenya, you'll serve in a ministry called Village of Hope, established as a refuge for outcast women living in the Dukana region. Here you'll work with women who have undergone trauma, and need to experience Christ's love and healing. Village of Hope provides a safe haven where women can learn about Christ's love and gain skills to help them improve their lives. Your ministry will include sharing Christ and teaching Christian doctrine and principles, teaching skills such as beadwork, sewing, knitting, and cooking, literacy work, and counseling the young ladies, as many of them have gone through traumatic experiences. Relationships built in this ministry will offer direct opportunities for the sharing of the gospel, and one-on-one discipleship where the young ladies learn more about God in His word, and apply it to their lives in practical ways. As a part of the discipleship, the skills the young ladies learn offer them valuable means of making some income, and connecting with others in their community in the future. We're looking for someone with a strong and growing relationship with Christ, and at least one year of Bible training; someone with initiative and compassion, and with a knowledge of basic cooking skills, sewing, knitting or similar life skills that can be taught to the women of Village of Hope.

Some gifts simply don't fit under the Christmas tree. Such was the case with the "Main Place" a three-bedroom house that was gifted to our Florida outreach team to serve as a place of ministry to Muslims living in the greater Orlando area. But it needs some fixing up! We're looking for men and women who know how to swing a hammer, wield a power saw, and transform this place into a loving environment where people can meet Jesus. You in? Tasks include but are not limited to: bathroom remodel, sunroom update, master bedroom and garage updates. The team is also working to sell many of the items that were in the home when it was gifted to them, so Ebay or estate sales experience would be helpful.
