French Home School Teacher – Madagascar
To help a missionary family in home schooling their children to enable them to have more opportunities to build relationships and be involved in other ministries. This support role will allow the parents to increase the effectiveness of their ministry within their local community. Furthermore, the home school teacher will have opportunities to minister to adults and the local children e.g. telling bible stories. Opportunities to build relationships with the Sakalava people will arise as she/he learns language and culture. The length of this opportunity is flexible - from 10 months up to 2 years. Major Tasks: Teaching – following the French home school curriculum. Extra curriculum activities – taking the children out into nature, with field trips and sports etc. as part of the curriculum. Language and culture – learning and building relationships among the Sakalava people. Team life – participating in team life and ministry. Experience & Qualifications: - Experience working with children and in a school setting is required, with previous cross-cultural experience desired. - Understanding of the French educational system would be an asset. - Applicant must be a fluent French speaker as well as a qualified teacher.

Our goal is to see the church in the multicultural nation of South Africa equipped and mobilized for missions. This FUEL team will provide an opportunity for South Africans and foreign believers to learn, serve and grow together as they seek to share the gospel and also encourage the South African church as they consider and participate in the Great Commission. FUEL team members will be trained for cross-cultural missions under the leadership and mentorship of experienced missionaries. The major tasks will involve: Completing the FUEL curriculum (focused on the book of Acts). Observing, learning and participating in outreach ministries amongst migrants and UPGs. Learning about the local culture and building relationships within the community and local church. Experiencing mission work in a cross-cultural team and setting. About the FUEL Program: FUEL is an 8-week immersive missions training program partnering together national and foreign missionaries. You will live and breathe missions – both academically and practically. You will engage within the local community and learn first-hand what missions actually looks like. Each team member will be partnered with a national missionary. You will live with them, walk with them, pray with them, cry with them, and learn more about your identity in Christ – a beautiful reflection of the Body of Christ. And all of this leading us towards seeing “Christ-centered churches among all African peoples.”

The Moyale Garre Ministry, in partnership with the AIC Moyale church, is looking for one or two individuals or couples who have on-field experience and a passion to do evangelism and discipleship among an unreached people group. The Garre, a Borana-speaking sub-tribe of the Somali people, are unengaged - and we hope to change that with God's help. They are primarily pastoralists grazing their herds of camels, cattle, goats and sheep wherever they can find water and pasture. The town of Moyale is located in Marsabit County, northern Kenya. The town is located on the border with Ethiopia and is the primary border crossing between the two countries. The main tasks for the missionary would be to learn the Borana language and develop an outreach plan for the Garre. There will be countless gospel-sharing opportunities through language and culture learning, building relationships and many more. Desired experience and qualifications: The best fit for this ministry is a missionary who has been involved in outreach before, and preferably to Somali people. We require that the missionary have at least 2 terms of service in Africa. Prior work among the Somali or other strict Muslim group is desired. A college degree is required for the sake of processing work permits. Training in Muslim outreach is strongly desired. Missionaries will be expected to have a Level 2 (medium) in Borana by the end of the term of at least 2 years. Some knowledge of Swahili is also helpful both in Moyale and in travel back and forth in Kenya.

BASED IN AFRICA and facilitated by experienced missionaries and national leaders, “GO” is a 2-month discipleship and mission training program that seeks to develop Christ-like character and instill basic skills for outreach among unreached people groups. A new GO team launches every summer. Beginning with a two-week discipleship program, you and your team will a focus on learning some of the necessary skills for outreach. A five-week placement follows, where you will be placed in pairs with missionaries working among unreached people groups.
