Home School Teacher – Tanzania
This role is helping a family with four children as they engage in their work of training leaders for the Tanzanian Church. Home schooling assistance will enable them to be able to minister more effectively to students at Nassa Theological College, as well as their neighbours, and engage in educational, mission and outreach types of ministries to help create Christ-centered churches. Another ministry possibility would be to help equip Tanzanian church workers and leaders with English language proficiency, which will help them in their theological and mission studies at the College. Located in Bulima, Tanzania, the duration for this assignment could be adjusted to last from 6 months up to 5 years. Major Tasks 1. Teaching children a homeschool curriculum. 2. If able, offer English tutoring to Nassa Theological College students. Training & Qualifications - No qualifications are required for this homeschooling role, although a bachelors degree in education, a teaching certificate, or children's ministry experience would be desirable. - A TESOL certification or equivalent is required for tutoring or teaching English to Nassa Theological College students. Experience For this role, some experience working with children is required. Some homeschool or primary school teaching experience would be highly desirable.

With particular interest in reaching Muslim women through the platform of handicrafts, we desire to build trust among the Gabra people so that they become open to listening to the Word of God and effectively disciple those who believe. Other skills and abilities such as gardening, workshop activities, and literacy for adults are great ways to create opportunities for sharing the gospel and discipling believers. We're looking for people who have had some experience in serving in a local church - preferably in the area of discipleship. Previous cross-cultural experience and the ability to do crafts and handiwork is greatly desired, though neither are required.

The Karamoja Ministry Partnership (KAMP) is a partnership between AIM and two Ugandan missionary sending organizations - Global Link Afrika and Reaching Frontiers. There are churches in the larger towns such as Moroto and Kotido, but not in the surrounding villages - with more than 100 kilometers in between large towns where the majority of the unreached Karimojong people live. Together, we will partner with and empower biblically faithful local churches to raise and mobilize disciples who are disciple makers. We are a catalyst, to help local churches in their local communities and context to use indigenous approaches to share the gospel of Christ Jesus in unreached places of the region. This position requires experience in sharing the gospel and discipling others, with other cross-cultural experience being ideal, but not necessary, We desire to share the gospel holistically, and so we welcome new members with training, qualifications and experience in business, health care, agriculture, counselling etc. Training in church planting, chronological bible storying, discovery bible study etc. is also beneficial. These trainings can be done after accepting the assignment but before coming to the field.
