Clove Island Outreach Team
Join an exciting and growing work on an Indian Ocean island community. You’ll join an existing team to help with the expansion of an English teaching and training program. Other ministry avenues can include medical care, sports outreach, literacy and other forms of education; all functioning under the umbrella of a service office managed by the team. Serving in and around the city of Tabora, Tanzania, you'll teach a method of conservation agriculture known as Farming God’s Way in the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT) Tabora Diocese; with particular emphasis on training each of the 53 pastors in the area to implement and train others in conservation farming through Biblical principles. You'll work to establish a working demonstration farm at Tabora Bible School (or other suitable site) and other projects that will assist in generating income to supplement the operating costs of Tabora Bible School. You'll help to equip and train church leaders in caring for the environment and teach others to do the same as part of their cross-cultural outreach among the Nyamwezi people. Your ministry will include: 1.) Work with the AICT Tabora Diocese to train each of the 53 pastorate areas to align their farming with Biblical principles, implement and use conservation farming techniques. 2.)Teach seminars and train church leaders in caring for the environment. 3.) Develop mentoring/discipleship relationships as you train others to teach Farming God’s Way. To serve in this ministry, you'll need practical experience in farming and conservation agriculture. Certification in Farming God’s Way, Care of Creation, or a similar, would be ideal, but is not required. We're looking for someone with good people skills, initiative to train and work with your hands in the field, a love of teaching the Word, and a heart for cross-cultural ministry.

Work to create a network within a local church of people interested in the work and among various ministries engaged in the work. As a Diaspora Outreach Apprentice, you'll work alongside a team of men and women serving among the growing number of North Africans and Sub-Saharan Africans migrating to Europe. This nine-month apprenticeship program includes the possibility of continued ministry in Rome or somewhere else in Europe. The Apprenticeship in Mission at the HUB (AMH) is a training program designed to serve as a bridge between theological training (one-year minimum suggested) and deployment to the field for those pursuing a call to long-term, cross-cultural work. AMH is an environment of continued learning, spiritual gift discovery and development, hands-on ministry, and mentoring under the tutelage of experienced cross-cultural practitioners. Engaging in mission and spiritual formation as part of the HUB community will allow the apprentice to continue to grow spiritually while, at the same time, gain practical experience in mission work in a very multi-cultural context. Many African diaspora churches are growing, including in Italy. We want to partner with these churches to reach out, and you could play a part in that! We are looking to build teams of disciple-makers across Europe. We’re seeking compassionate people who are passionate about disciple-making, casting vision, and partnering with national believers to see a movement of God among these African diaspora. We value a holistic approach to ministry that demonstrates the compassion of Christ, serving the practical needs of the under-served while also effectively making new disciples of family units who in turn are winning their extended families and neighborhoods. Help reach and disciple the Ndau people by: -Supporting pastors in their evangelistic activities -Providing pastoral care and counseling -Discipling young believers in recently planted churches The Ndau of Mozambique are an unreached animistic, polygamist people group who worship their ancestors through false prophets, mediums, and witch doctors and their respective ceremonies. This governs all of life: from birth to marriage, agriculture, livelihood, health, and death. This traditional worldview still influences the local churches. We would like to see local Ndau churches being led by competent local leaders, with a vision for evangelism and church planting - both within their own people group and beyond. Prior experience in church ministry is required. New team members will attend Portuguese language school.

Dukana Ministry is an outreach that began with the 20,000 unreached Gabra people around Dukana Town and reaches out to all the unreached tribes of Northern Kenya. Dukana lies within the northern reaches of the Dib Golla (desolate plain) which is a large lava flat about 200 kilometres northwest of Marsabit town in Northern Kenya. Dukana Town is one of the main hubs of trade for the Gabra pastoralists. We desire that the person filling this specific role be willing to pour themselves into 5 or 6 Gabra evangelists, encouraging, mentoring and training them so that they can effectively evangelize and disciple the Gabra people. Once these evangelists are discipling people effectively, it will result in stronger, more mature believers and a Christ-centered Gabra Church. We are looking for a missionary who has prior experience in cross-cultural outreach and disciple-making with previous Africa experience being desired, though not required. Elementary proficiency in Swahili would be useful as it is the national language and will easily facilitate conversations and getting around. However, Gabra is the heart language and, even though there may be translators available, working towards speaking in Gabra at an elementary proficiency level will be desired and very useful.
